Buckeye State Entertainment was honored to be part of this night of family fun celebrating the final months of Franklin Elementary School’s existence.
Franklin Elementary School in Kent, OH was built in the mid 1920’s. For nearly 90 years the school has been home to thousands upon thousands of the area’s finest young students. Due to decreased enrollment and budget cuts Franklin Elementary School will shut its doors for the last time at the end of the 2014 school year.
With the help of students, faculty, parents, and friends the Franklin Elementary PTA decided to send the school out with a bang with an evening full of fun for everyone. DJ James and Angela of Buckeye State Entertainment were fortunate enough to be the entertainment for this amazing evening. Everyone in attendance was treated to games, contests, and even learned a few new dances. With the help of DJ James the attendees are now masters of the new dance the “Wobble”.
Brian Hostler (owner of Buckeye State Entertainment) was quoted as saying “It saddens us to hear of another school closing but we were honored to help be a part of this amazing night. Franklin Elementary School was full of traditions and memories and we’re ecstatic to know we’re going to be etched in the history books as a small part of this last big party. I am sure this was a night these young students, their parents, and faculty will not soon forget.”
