WHY CHOOSE A DJ OVER A BAND?
First and foremost, in most cases, DJs are much less expensive than live bands and offer a wider range of music styles. DJs don’t take breaks and they can play your favorite songs so you can enjoy them the way they were originally recorded. A DJ also has the flexibility to “read the crowd” and adjust playlists accordingly or to play requests. Bands usually have a more rigid set list and only have a limited number of songs that they know and can perform. Also, if your party goes into extra hours, a DJ won’t be too tired to keep you and your friends on the dance floor to dance the night away! Also, in a lot of cases a band will request that you hire a professional emcee to handle all of the formalities of your event as they feel in a lot of cases that is not part of their job description. So now you have the cost of the band, plus the cost of an emcee, and periods of downtime where you may have no music at all while the band takes their breaks.
