Buckeye State Entertainment was honored to team up with Golden Corral in Macedonia, OH to hold this special event for military members on Veterans Day 2013. All current and former military members of all branches of the service were treated to a free meal along with an evening of fun and music. This was the first time this Golden Corral location had live entertainment at this event and it was a huge success. Over 1400 people walked through the doors between the hours of 4pm and 9pm to be a part of this great night!
An Amazing Experience
When asked about his experience with this event, Buckeye State Entertainment owner Brian Hostler said “I was shocked at how appreciative these military men and women were to have us their playing music for them. Hundreds of guests came up to me to thank me for attending and being a part of this event and I repeatedly said, there is no need to thank me, this is the least I can do. On a day when we were supposed to honoring these heroes for what they had done for us and the sacrifices they made, they continued to be humble and thankful for us. I was fortunate enough to spend time with some of these individuals and hear their stories from their time in the military. The things that these people went though were unimaginable in a lot of cases. I spoke with young men 18 years of age who were just getting started on their military journey and spoke with a gentleman who said he was 93 years old. The event was diversified in not only age but also in sex and ethnicity. People from all walks of laugh who shared one common goal which was protecting our freedom. It was a very humbling experience for me and one that I will never forget. Buckeye State Entertainment is sure to be a part of this event for years to come and we hope to team up with more locations in the upcoming years to bring more smiles to these wonderful peoples faces!”
In a recent Facebook post Golden Corral manager Alison Yukich was quoted as saying “It’s been a week since our military appreciation night last Monday and I haven’t worked a day since without being thanked for the great food and awesome entertainment by Brian (Buckeye State Entertainment). Thank you Brian for such a memorable night! We look forward to next year!-feeelig blessed.”
It just goes to show you that a little act of kindness can go such a long way.
